Milford Sound New Zealand Group Tour 2025

January 10, Friday

Location: Auckland

Program:

Arrival in New Zealand, baggage claim, passport and bio-control.

Transfer to the city center.

Check-in at The Parnell Hotel & Conference Centre (4*) , rest.

Auckland sightseeing tour: Albert Park with the clock tower of the University of Auckland, Domain Park with a winter garden, Silo Park with a yacht marina and a view of the Sky Tower, Mount Eden volcano. Lunch at the Soljans Estate winery (payment on site) , then a visit to Muriwai Beach with a colony of gannets and black sand.

Return to the city center, check in for dinner on the 52nd floor of the Sky Tower.

Dine at the revolving Orbit restaurant with stunning views of the city and harbour.

Auckland New Zealand Group Tour 2025

Day 2

January 11, Saturday

Program:

07:00 - 07:30: Breakfast at the hotel (included in the tour price).

07:30 - 07:45: Check out from the hotel and load suitcases into the van.

07:45 - 10:45: Transfer to Waitomo.

10:45 - 11:00: Activity check-in.

11:00 - 12:30: Tour to the glowworm caves. There are more glowworms than in the more popular Waitomo Glowworm Caves, and only our group will be in the cave.

12:30 - 14:00: Transfer to Hobbiton.

14:00 - 15:00: Lunch at the Shire's Rest Café (pay on-site).

15:00 - 15:10: Activity check-in.

15:10 - 17:40: Tour of the film set of "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" trilogies.

17:40 - 18:40: Transfer to Rotorua city center.

18:40 - 19:30: Visit the Government Gardens and lakeside.

19:30 - 21:00: Dinner at CBK Rotorua with a stone grill (pay on-site).

21:00 - 21:30: Transfer to the Jet Park Hotel Rotorua (4*), check-in.

Day 3

Sunday, January 12

Location: Rotorua

Program:

TODAY WE NEED SWIMSUITS AND TOWELS

09:30 – 10:00 Transfer to the Hell's Gate.

100:00 - 11:30: Enjoy a relaxing soak in the local thermal pools, including the mud pool. Please be aware that you're only allowed 15 minutes in the mud pools. The rest of the time, you can unwind in the hot springs. It's crucial to wash your hands and nails thoroughly after the mud pools and avoid touching your eyes at all costs. This can cause severe pain!

11:30 - 12:00: Transfer to Hamurana Springs.

12:00 - 13:00: Embark on a walk through sacred Maori territories, marveling at the stunning blue pools (swimming is not permitted here) and towering sequoia trees.

13:00 - 13:15: Transfer to Skyline Rotorua.

13:15 - 13:30: Take a scenic gondola ride up Mount Ngongotaha.

13:30 - 15:30: Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Stratosfare restaurant. Feel free to indulge in some fun activities like go-karting or riding the giant swings (additional payment required on-site).

15:30 - 16:00: Transfer to Te Puia and complete the check-in process for the excursion.

16:00 - 21:00: Immerse yourself in Maori culture with a tour of the village, visit the Kiwi House to see New Zealand's iconic flightless bird, witness the eruption of Pohutu Geyser (the tallest geyser in New Zealand), savor a buffet dinner, and enjoy a captivating dance show featuring the world-famous haka performance.

Return to the hotel.

Program:

07:00 - 07:45: Breakfast at the hotel restaurant (included in the tour price).

07:45 - 08:00: Check out from the hotel and load luggage into the minibus.

08:00 - 08:30: Transfer to Wai-O-Tapu.

08:30 - 10:00: Walk through New Zealand's most colourful geothermal area, named one of the top twenty surreal places you have to see to believe.

10:00 - 10:40: Transfer to Taupo Spa Park.

10:40 - 12:00: A short, easy, and scenic walk to Huka Falls, with free hot pools along the way. Enjoy the view from the Huka Falls Viewpoint.

12:00 - 12:30: Transfer to Huka Jet and complete the check-in process for the excursion.

12:30 - 13:00: Hold on tight for an exhilarating speedboat ride with access to Huka Falls! The boat reaches speeds of up to 80 km/h and flies close to rocks and other obstacles.

13:00 - 14:30: Indulge in a King Prawn Lunch at the Huka Prawn Park Restaurant (payable on-site).

14:30 - 19:00: Check in at the Beechtree Motel (4*) and enjoy free time in Taupo.

19:00 - 19:15: Transfer to Wairakei Terraces.

19:15 - 21:00: Walk through the local geothermal area and witness a powerful, constantly active geyser. Relax in the thermal blue pools, where the silica-rich water stimulates collagen production in the skin.

Tuesday, January 14

Program:

Today we will explore Tongariro National Park, home to three majestic volcanoes: Tongariro, Ruapehu, and Ngauruhoe.

For those seeking an adventure, the world-famous Tongariro Crossing track (9 hours) awaits.

Alternatively, you can choose between two scenic tracks:

  • A circular track through Taranaki Falls (2 hours).

  • A section of the Round the Mountain track, starting from Whakapapa, passing through Taranaki Falls, reaching Lake Tama, and then returning (5 hours).

In the evening, we'll transfer to Auckland and check in at the JetPark Auckland Airport Hotel (4*).

15:00 - 19:00: Check in at The Godley Hotel (3.5*) and enjoy free time in the town.  You can hike the Mt John track, relax in the thermal springs, try stand-up paddleboarding on the turquoise lake, or rent a bike.

19:00 - 20:30: Dinner at a local restaurant (payment on-site).

Evening: Marvel at the breathtaking starry sky right from the hotel grounds.

Location: Lake Tekapo Mount Cook – Twizel

Program:

07:30 - 08:45: Breakfast at The Godley Hotel (included in the tour price). Six guests staying at Lakes Edge Holiday Park will be transferred to The Godley Hotel.

08:45 - 09:00: Check out from the hotel and load luggage into the minibus.

09:00 - 09:30: Purchase groceries for lunch at the 4 Square store.

09:30 - 11:00: Transfer to the helicopter company base. En route, we'll stop at several viewpoints near the stunning Lake Pukaki, offering views of New Zealand's highest mountain.

11:00 - 11:30: Check in for the helicopter excursion.

11:30 - 12:10: Optional helicopter tour with a snow landing and breathtaking views of Mt Cook (40 minutes).

  • The tour costs NZD 595 per person.

  • Please advise in advance if you wish to participate.

  • The weight limit per passenger is 120 kg.

12:10 - 12:45: Transfer to Hooker Valley.

12:45 - 16:00: Hooker Valley Trek, a 10 km round trip across a flat valley with three suspension bridges. The views of Mt Cook are absolutely stunning! Enjoy a packed lunch on the trail.

16:00 - 17:00: Transfer to Twizel.

17:00 - 18:30: Check in at the Mountain Chalets Motel (3.5*) and relax.

08:45 - 09:00: Check out from the hotel. Load luggage into the minibus and transfer to the High Country Salmon farm (5-minute drive).

10:00 - 10:40: Transfer to the Clay Cliffs. The last 8 km will be on a gravel road.

10:40 - 11:20: Hike to the Clay Cliffs.

11:20 - 13:30: Transfer to Oamaru, the quirkiest NZ city.

13:30 - 15:00: Lunch at Del Mar Restaurant (direct payment).

15:00 - 16:30: Short tour of Oamaru town centre, including the Steam Punk Museum.

10:30 - 11:00: Transfer to Larnach Castle.

11:00 - 12:30: Visit New Zealand's only castle, steeped in the secrets of the Larnach family. Take a leisurely walk through its enchanting gardens.

12:30 - 13:00: Transfer to Glenfalloch Restaurant.

13:00 - 14:30: Enjoy lunch at Glenfalloch Restaurant, nestled amidst a picturesque garden setting (payment on-site).

14:30 - 15:00: Transfer to the parking lot near the Tunnel Beach trailhead.

14:00 - 15:30: Lunch at The Ranch Bar & Grill. Check in at the Fiordland Hotel (3*). Afterward, enjoy a leisurely walk along the shore of Lake Te Anau and purchase groceries for tomorrow's lunch on the track.

19:30: Dinner at the Fat Duck restaurant.

Location: Te Anau

Program:

Today, we'll embark on a scenic hike along part of the renowned Kepler Track, considered one of New Zealand's top 10 walks. We'll cover a 12-kilometer round trip to Brod Bay, immersing ourselves in the beauty of Fiordland National Park with its lush forests and breathtaking mountain views. Remember to bring a packed lunch to enjoy on the trail.

Wednesday, January 22

Route:

08:15 - 08:30: Check out from the hotel and load luggage into the minibus.

08:30 - 12:30: Transfer to Milford Sound with stops along the way:

  • Scenic valley near the mountains

  • Mirror Lake

  • Waterfalls on the trail to Lake Marian (easy 1-hour round trip hike)

12:30 - 13:00: Check in for the Milford Sound cruise.

13:00 - 15:00: Milford Sound cruise with a cold lunch included.

15:00 - 16:00: Transfer to Milford Airport and check in for the flight.

16:00 - 16:35: Optional scenic flight to Queenstown, soaring over the magnificent Fiordland. You'll even catch a glimpse of New Zealand's highest waterfall, Sutherland Falls, cascading from the mountain lake Quill.

  • The flight costs NZD 515 per person.

  • Please inform us in advance if you wish to participate.

  • Those who opt out will travel to Queenstown by car with the guide, a journey of approximately 5 hours.

  • In case of inclement weather, the entire group will travel to Queenstown by car, and the flight cost will be refunded at 100%.

16:35 - 17:00: Transfer to the Sherwood Hotel (3.5*), check in, and relax.

Evening: Enjoy a free evening in Queenstown.

16:55: Depart from New Zealand.

The tour price does not include:


Booking, payment and cancellation conditions:

  • Currency: The primary currency for payments is the New Zealand dollar (NZD).

  • Payment: The Client pays for the tour in New Zealand dollars (NZD), US dollars (USD), or euros (EUR) to the Contractor's account at a New Zealand bank. The invoice is issued at the prevailing exchange rate on the day of issue and must be paid by the Client within three business days.

  • Deposit: To secure a tour booking, the Client must deposit 25% of the total tour cost into the Contractor's account at a New Zealand bank. Payments can be made via bank transfer in USD or EUR, or by Visa or Mastercard through our website. An invoice will be issued upon payment.

  • Final payment: The remaining balance must be paid into the Contractor's New Zealand bank account no later than December 10th, 2024 (funds must be received in the Contractor's account by this date).

  • Changes to the Agreement: Any modifications to this Agreement must be made in writing as appendices to the Agreement and signed by both the Client and the Contractor.

  • Cancellation by the Client: If the Client cancels the tour, the following penalties apply:

    • 30 days or more before the tour start date: NZ$500 per person.

    • 29-15 days before the tour start date: 25% of the total tour cost.

    • 14-8 days before the tour start date: 50% of the total tour cost.

    • 7 days or fewer before the tour start date: 100% of the total tour cost.

  • Non-refundable services: Any services paid for but not utilized by the tourists will not be refunded.

  • Cancellation by the Contractor: If the Contractor cancels the tour, they will refund 100% of the paid services to the Client.

  • Cancellation of excursions due to weather: In the event an excursion is canceled during the tour due to weather conditions, the policies of a travel provider will apply. Typically, in such cases, 100% of the excursion cost is reimbursed.
