Description: This tour is the perfect combination of the most amazing attractions of the North and the South Islands of New Zealand which you can visit in a compressed time of short vacations. If both of your international flights are from Auckland, you will have two internal flights within the tour "Rotorua - Queenstown - Auckland". Otherwise you may fly overseas from Queenstown international airport.
Day 1
Itinerary:
Morning arrival in New Zealand.
12:00 – 18:00 Private Guided Auckland City Tour or you may take a tour by Hop On Hop Off Explorer Bus.
19:00 – 20:30 3 Course Dinner at the Revolving Orbit Restaurant.
Day 2
Itinerary:
07:30 – 10:30 Driving from Auckland to Waitomo.
10:30 – 11:00 Check-in the tour.
11:00 – 14:00 Waitomo Black Water Rafting - Black Labyrinth. If you do not want to become wet we have plenty of cave options on the page All Activities.
14:00 – 14:30 Lunch at a local cafe.
14:30 – 16:30 Driving to Hobbiton.
16:30 – 18:30 Tour to Hobbiton ex Shire's Rest Cafe. Explore Bag End, where Bilbo & Frodo’s adventures began, get lost amongst all the Hobbit holes and visit the Mill and the fabulous Party Tree.
18:30 – 20:00 Driving to Rotorua, check-in a hotel.
20:15 – 22:00 Dinner at CBK restaurant where you can grill a steak by your own on a hot stone.
Day 3
Itinerary:
07:00 – 12:00 Fishing on Tarawera lake. Your catch will be cooked for lunch in hot springs on Hot Water Beach. Please, contact us to arrange the tour. Alternative options are on the page All Activities.
12:00 – 14:00 On your way back we advise you to visit isthmus between Green and Blue lakes to compare their colours. Then take a tour Redwoods Treewalk.
14:30 – 16:30 Farm Show & Eco Farm/Orchard Tour Combo at Agrodome.
16:30 - 18:00 Self-guided tour around Rotorua. We advise to visit Government Gardens and the lake's quay.
18:00 – 21:00 Indigenous Evening Experience at Te Puia. The ultimate way to experience Maori culture, Te Puia is an iconic destination for those wishing to immerse themselves in Maori tradition and witness first-hand the power and spectacle of the geothermal forces that New Zealand is built on.
Day 4
Rotorua - Wai-O-Tapu - Taupo - Rotorua - Queenstown
Itinerary:
08:30 – 09:00 Driving to the geothermal park Wai-O-Tapu.
09:00 – 10:00 Self-guided tour around Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland.
10:00 – 11:00 Driving to Huka Falls Jet. Check-in the tour.
11:00 – 11:30 Huka Falls Jet Ride. Travelling an incredible 80Km/ph low on the water, skimming past cliffs and trees, powering along a beautiful river environment before gripping on during the trademark 360-degree spin is an adrenaline-pumping experience you’ll never forget!
11:30 - 12:30 Try king prawns at the restaurant of Huka Prawns Park.
12:30 - 13:30 Self-guided tour around Taupo town. You are welcome to try famous Taupo bungy.
13:30 - 13:45 Driving to Wairakei Terraces.
15:00 – 16:30 Driving to Rotorua airport.
16:30 – 17:25 Check-in the flight to Queenstown.
17:25 – 21:10 Flight to Queenstown with a stopover in Auckland/Wellington/Christchurch.
21:10 – 22:00 Pick-up a new vehicle. Driving to a hotel.
Day 5
Itinerary:
09:00 - 10:00 Transfer to Queenstown airport (included in the tour price).
10:00 – 14:00 Milford Sound Helicopter/Scenic Cruise/Helicopter. A return scenic helicopter flight between Queenstown and Milford Sound with two alpine landings and a Scenic Cruise of the fiord.
14:00 - 15:00 Lunch at a local cafe.
15:00 - 18:00 Free time in Queenstown. Shopping.
18:00 – 22:00 TSS Earnslaw Cruise & Walter Peak Gourmet BBQ Dinner.
Day 6
Itinerary:
07:45 – 16:30 Dart River Funyaks. It is an amazing journey from Glenorchy deep into the heart of the world-renowned Mt Aspiring National Park. Get up-close with nature with a gentle paddle on sparkling waters.
Day 7
Itinerary:
08:30 – 12:00 Queenstown Quad Safari. See Queenstown in a whole new way when you explore it via ATV! These fully automatic quad bikes are easy to ride and suitable for everyone from complete beginners to total pros.
13:00 - 17:30 Wine & Food Tour. Spend a luxurious half-day tasting the best food and wine the Central Otago has to offer, starting with a multi-course winery lunch sourced from local produce, including estate wines expertly matched to each dish.
