TSS Earnslaw Cruise & Walter Peak Gourmet BBQ Dinner, Queenstown
Excursion Includes: A return scenic cruise from Queenstown Bay, across stunning Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak High Country Farm on our vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw, a farm demonstration and a delicious Gourmet BBQ Dinner served at the Colonel’s Homestead.
A dining experience that’s unlike any other in Queenstown, guests disembark from their TSS Earnslaw cruise at Walter Peak where they are escorted through the lakeside gardens to the recently refurbished Colonel’s Homestead and seated for dinner. Relax in the unique ambience in front of a roaring open fire and soak in the views from this stunning lakeside setting while the chefs prepare a gourmet BBQ on the outdoor grill. Enjoy a selection of succulent New Zealand meat and seafood accompanied by delectable seasonal salads, tasty dessert treats and local cheeses. All meat and seafood is cooked on the outdoor BBQ and rotisserie in front of guests and served immediately. A locally influenced wine list and other beverages are available to purchase at the bar.
After the meal, guests join an entertaining farm experience which gives an insight of life in the New Zealand high country including a sheep shearing demonstration. The night-time cruise home is magical. Join in the camaraderie of a sing-a-long with the ship’s pianist.

BBQ Dinner Menu: Fresh breads baked daily onsite; antipasto selection; fresh salads including baby spinach salad, quinoa salad, beetroot salad and garden fresh green salads, herb crusted butternut squash, roast perla potatoes; seafood selection including smoked mackerel, home cured Stewart Island salmon and Cloudy Bay clams; an outdoor grill consisting of spiced chicken, slow roast pork, Cardrona lamb leg, Southland beef, sardines, market fish, all with a selection of condiments; dessert selection including crème brulée, white chocolate panna cotta, sticky date pudding, chocolate mousse, apple and rhubarb crumble, fresh fruit, local cheeses and baked slices. Freshly brewed tea and coffee is included.

Bar Facilities: Full bar services operate on the TSS Earnslaw as it cruises to and from Walter Peak and at the Colonel’s Homestead.

• Interpretation handouts: English, German, Japanese, Thai, Korean and Chinese.Christmas day: The Gourmet BBQ Dinner for 25 December will be replaced with a special Christmas menu and glass of sparkling wine with an 18:00 departure only. There is no farm demonstration on Christmas Day.
